Matt

I’m Matt, and I’m a geek from Bristol, England. Back in 2009, I was really unfit, and had pretty much given up on exercise.

Then my friend Benjohn asked me to develop a website for an iPhone application he’d written — Get Running. Ben’s enthusiasm for running rubbed off on me as I worked, and I decided to give it a try. Within a year of finishing the 9-week plan from Get Running, I’d run the Bristol 10K and the Bristol Half Marathon.

This blog isn’t really intended to entertain; it started as a public commitment to finishing the Get Running plan and it’s carried on from there. Really, it’s just a training diary, which happens to live somewhere public.

If you want to know a bit more about me, you can take a look at my personal site. That one’s mostly of interest to programming types, I guess, though it’s quite random in general.

If you were looking for contact details, please note that there’s a reason this site doesn’t have them. If you’re looking to sell me something, bear in mind I have utterly no need for SEO services — or pretty much anything else, for that matter. That being said, if you’re an actual human being and have a good reason for getting in touch, you shouldn’t have too tough a time tracking me down.
